What a Day.

We went for a walk a Vines Botanical Garden by our home in Loganville, Georgia. We have lived here for 15 years and this was our 1st time to go. It was a perfect day to be out walking. We want to come back in the spring when all things are in bloom here.

Here are a few pictures that I took (only took 54). It was hard to choose.

My Purses

OK I was given the pictures today.
One of my co-workers does the 3 day walk for Breast Cancer. So I told her I would make her some items to sell. After I made her these she gave me LOTS of cancer fabric to work with. So I want to make more for next year.
I also got to play with my new embroidery sewing machine. I got the Awarness Ribbon free online for my sewing machine.

The 3 small purses are from the same pattern I got from AllPeopleQuilt.com. This was the 1st quater challange.
This is the video on it:
This is the pattern it's self:

I never have time anymore!

Work has been keeping me busy - I do not have time anymore to do anything.
I did make some tissue box covers for a fellow worker that is doing the 3 day walk. I also made some purses, but I forgot to take pictures of them!! She took some for me, but I have not received them yet. She gave me lots of wonderful fabric to make them.

Shapebooks with Cricut

OK I was in Archiver's and I saw these really cute chipboard books. But I did not want to spend the money (to cheap) - so I came home and started playing in Design Studio. Here is what I have come up with - I have not tested them out as of yet.

I am so far behind!

Again I cannot believe that it is July already! I have been working and not been able to get anything done. I have been playing with my design studio and have done some shape-books.

My youngest son is moving out of the house for the 1st time. He took a job in Pflugerville, Texas!! I am thrilled for this job – but that is 15 hours from Loganville, Georgia! My husband and I have been doing a lot of crying. We plan on going to visit him in September.

Where has the time gone!

I have just been so busy with work that I have had no time to do anything - that includes cleaning the house!!

We went to Disney World at the beginning of May. I will eventually get some pictures posted. It was just Harry and I! Last time we went alone was back in 1984. We had such a wonderful time together.

Paper Creations

Well the weather is getting hot here in Georgia. All my flowers are coming out for a visit and they are looking so pretty. I grabbed the camera and here is what I came up with.

I am going to make this one into a cricut cut file as soon as I have time to play.

I just love this little tote - I want to make more of them.

Things in Bloom

Been gone a while!

I have been so busy with Hobby Lobby. They have increased my hours (which is good). They have also offered me full time work!! I am not use to standing that long so by the time I get home I am wiped out. I hardly even check my emails!! I want to start crafting again. I am in the mood to do some sewing right now. So I got out the purse patterns. Found some cute fabric in my stash. Now just need to cut it out – once it is cut out it takes no time to sew it up at all. Will post picture when I get it complete.

Look what I made.

Here is a card I made from the pattern I found on Linda's blog.
If you have not spent time peeking thru her blog - you need to. She has some spectacular designs.

I am fall behind!

I have not been posting. Just having other things to do.
I found out today that my nephew is having another boy - that makes 3 boys for them and that makes 12 great grandchildren for my mother 10 boys and 2 girls.
Here are some letters I cut out. I saw this idea somewhere else and thought I would give it a try. I wanted to make them for the front of a card, but they came out to big so they will be great on a scrapbook page.

I SURVIVED!

Well today was my 1st day working at Hobby Lobby as a cashier! Of course I am slow - but I was pretty good at figuring out what departments things belonged in.
Everyone was so nice – customers and other employees. So I am making a extra tag to hang on my name plate to let customers know that I am in training. That way they will be a little be more patient with me (will post picture when I get them complete). Plus this way they can see that I can use the Cricut. I am hoping to eventually teach some class there also. I was hired as part time.

I just watched the movie

Australia with Hugh Jackman and Nichole Kidman.
The movie was not what I thought it would be it was kind of boring. Kidman’s part was a uptight rich women that takes no instructions for a man. The only reason I wanted to see the movie is because of Jackman – what a dream he is. My husband just laughs at me.
So I cannot tell you if I would recommend it or not.
