OK Last one for the day.

Have you eaten at La Madeline's Resturant?  Well my favorite is the Tomato Basil Soup.  So I did a goole seatch and look what I found.  YES it does taste like the soup also.  So I hope that you all enjoy.

La Madeline's Tomato Basil Soup Recipe

4 cups crushed tomatoes (I used a little more - a 28 oz can and a 14 oz can)
4 c tomato juice or chicken broth (I used broth 2 cups each)
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 lb Sweet unsalted butter
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp Cracked black pepper -- Cracked

Combine tomatoes, juice and/or stock in saucepan.
Simmer 30 minutes. Puree, along with the basil leaves, in small batches, in blender or food processor.

Return to saucepan and add cream and butter, while stirring, over low heat. Garnish with basil leaves and serve with your favorite bread.

My last day in Colorado

One of my brothers lives in Kiow, Colorado.  I spent the night with him, then he took me to the Denver airport.  The 1st 3 pictures are on the drive to his place.  The hummingbirds are on his back pourch.

If you look closely, you can see his tounge!

Our trip to Florida

I just need to shake off this funk I am in.

It all started on June 24th when I got the dreaded call from my sister-in-law that Mom passed away. The funeral was on June 28, 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. So of course I had to make arrangements to fly to Colorado. Of us 4 kids I am the only one that lives out of state. It was a really nice service and Mom looked good. We all knew this day would come. She just hated being alone (Dad passed 7 yrs ago). She passed away of old age and in her home, the two things she wanted the most.

I have been doing some digital layouts and I need to get them posted. It is fun doing the old pictures; the memories that come with them are so AWESOME!!
